Building Bridges of Care: A Conversation with Adrien Lewis of CarePortal

Sunday, November 23, 2025

Founder & President

Adrien began his career in business development, spending a decade working across healthcare, technology, and education. But in 2007, a mission trip to Haiti with his wife, Cynthia, shifted everything. The experience ignited a deeper calling and opened his eyes to the impact of showing up for vulnerable children.

For the next three years, Adrien volunteered with The Global Orphan Project, gaining firsthand insight into how powerful simple connections can be in a child’s life. In 2010, he felt a clear prompting from God to step away from the business world and devote himself fully to advocating for orphaned and abandoned children.

That calling led him and his family into foster care and adoption—and eventually inspired the creation of CarePortal, a Care-Sharing technology that mobilizes local communities to respond to the needs of children and families in crisis. Today, CarePortal is transforming lives through meaningful, real-time connections built on compassion, action, and faith.

Michael Delisser: Why Communication Is the Make-or-Break Skill in the Age of AI

Saturday, November 15, 2025

Michael Delisser’s journey into the world of leadership began at just 15 years old, sitting quietly in the back of his father’s coaching sessions with Fortune 100 executives. These were elite leaders—brilliant, successful, respected—yet many had been fired for the same reason: ineffective communication. Watching top-tier professionals struggle to unlearn poor habits sparked a passion in him that would shape his life’s work.

Today, Michael has built his career around one mission: helping leaders communicate with clarity, awareness, and impact. He understands the gap many organizations create unintentionally—promoting talented individuals for their technical skill while overlooking the communication skills required to lead people. And in a world where AI is taking over more technical tasks than ever, the ability to communicate effectively isn’t just important… it’s make-or-break.

Through coaching, speaking, and podcast conversations, Michael brings real-world stories and simple, actionable tools that leaders can use immediately. His work helps people connect better, engage deeper, and deliver results through stronger communication—starting with self-awareness and extending to every interaction that shapes leadership.

The Medical Truth About the Abortion Pill: What the FDA Isn’t Telling Women

Saturday, November 8, 2025

In this urgent and eye-opening conversation, practicing OB/GYN Dr. Ingrid Skop, Medical Director of the Charlotte Lozier Institute, joins the show to expose the hidden medical realities behind chemical abortions — and the dangers that many women are never told. As the FDA quietly authorizes a new generic abortion pill, Dr. Skop brings decades of frontline experience to explain what’s really happening inside emergency rooms across the country.

From understanding how mifepristone and misoprostol work in the body to uncovering complications often misreported as miscarriages, this episode separates politics from science to focus on what truly matters — women’s health and safety.

Listeners will hear:

  • What happens medically during a chemical abortion — and how it differs from surgical procedures.

  • The most common complications ER doctors are seeing and why they’re often undocumented.

  • Why ultrasound screenings and accurate data reporting are essential for patient protection.

  • What steps medical professionals can take to better recognize and treat abortion drug complications.

  • How to recognize warning signs that require immediate medical attention.

This is not a debate — it’s a medical conversation every woman deserves to hear.

ABOUT HER BOOK A DREAM DEFERRED

Jesse Jackson, the civil rights leader, activist, raconteur, and political candidate, finally gets a book worthy of his stature courtesy of CNN anchor Abby Phillip. Focusing on his presidential runs in 1984 and, especially, 1988, Phillip highlights how Jackson built an unlikely coalition that showed how Black political power could be consolidated. His experience working under Martin Luther King; his organizing the SLCC's Operation Breadbasket in Chicago and beyond; and his roots in the deep South combined into two astonishingly impactful presidential campaigns. Appealing to the working people of urban enclaves like that of Chicago, young people on college campuses, and Black people across the South, he created the modern Democratic coalition-one that has been used by all major Democrats seeking national success from With her expert reporting, natural storytelling skills, and a story so full of humanity, politics, and hope, Abby Phillip has written a rousing popular history that sheds new light on an American icon. "Jesse Jackson's presidential campaigns showed America that leadership could look different, that power could be shared, and that more voices deserved to be heard," said Phillip. "His movement laid the foundation for the coalitions that define our democracy today. This book is my effort to capture the urgency, the messiness, and the possibility of that era, and what it still has to teach us now." At a time when questions of representation, democracy, and belonging are once again at the forefront of American life, A Dream Deferred offers urgent lessons from a leader who pioneered modern coalition politics. The battles Jesse Jackson fought in the 1980s, over voter access, multiracial coalition-building, and the visibility of Black political leadership, mirror the very debates shaping our politics today. By revisiting Jackson's story, Phillip not only restores him to his rightful place in history, but also reminds us that the struggles of the past are inseparable from the challenges of the present. Bret Baier of FOX News and author of To Rescue the American Spirit

Wednesday, October 22, 2025

“This captivating portrayal of Teddy is Bret Baier’s gift to us. From Roosevelt’s resilience over tragedy to his heroism in war, from his midnight rambles as police commissioner to his dramatic fights for reform as governor and president, Baier summons the irrepressible spirit of the man. What an engaging storyteller! What a joy to read!” —Doris Kearns Goodwin

From #1 New York Times bestselling author and Fox News Channel’s Chief Political Anchor, a fresh and fascinating exploration of the extraordinary life of Teddy Roosevelt, revealing how his bold leadership thrust America onto the world stage and changed the course of world history.

"As Bret Baier shows in this wonderfully readable biography, Theodore Roosevelt has many lessons for today." —Walter Isaacson

There has never been a president like Theodore Roosevelt. An iconoclast shaped by fervent ideals, his early life seems ripped from the pages of an adventure novel: abandoning his place in the New York aristocracy, he was drawn to the thrill of the West, becoming an honorary cowboy who won the respect of the rough men of the plains, adopting their code of authenticity and courage. As a New York State legislator, he fought corruption and patronage. As New York City police commissioner, he walked the beat at night to hold his men accountable; and as New York governor, he butted heads with the old guard to bring fresh air to a state mired in political corruption. He was also a passionate naturalist, conservationist, and hunter who collected hundreds of specimens of birds and animals throughout his life. He was a soldier and commander who led a regiment of “Rough Riders” to victory in the Spanish-American War, a show of leadership and bravery that put him on the national map. As president, he brought energy, laughter, and bold ideas to the White House, pursuing a vigorous agenda that established America as a leader on the world stage —from advancing the Panama Canal, brokering peace with Russia, and taking on business elites.

Bret Baier’s exquisite book reveals the storied life of a leader whose passion, daring, and prowess left an indelible mark on the fabric of our country and reimagined the possibilities of the presidency.

Dr. Joaquin E. Wallace - Your Roadmap to Generational Wealth

Saturday, October 18, 2025

Dr. Joaquin E. Wallace is a nationally recognized financial strategist, author, and behavioral finance educator whose mission centers on economic mobility and generational transformation. A former appointee to the California State Quality Education Commission, he is the author of Generational Wealth Begins with Generational Knowledge® and Welfare to Work: A Practitioner’s Perspective on How to Develop and Implement a Successful Welfare to Work Program — a blueprint that has helped thousands transition from public assistance into sustainable, white-collar careers.

Dr. Wallace’s pioneering Welfare to Work model was featured in both Black MBA Magazine and Essence Magazine, which spotlighted his commitment to job readiness, corporate placement, and long-term career retention for marginalized communities. His approach blends workforce development with community empowerment — ensuring participants not only find employment but retain and advance in professional spaces often inaccessible to them.

Honored with the Wells Fargo Living History Makers Award, Dr. Wallace is also recognized in the Contemporary Black Biography series, which documents the lives of African Americans who are reshaping economic, cultural, and social narratives. Through his proprietary Seven-Stage Generational Wealth Model©, he integrates behavioral finance, neuroscience, and culturally attuned coaching to help families build wealth that lasts.
