iBelieve Truth: A Devotional for Women

Perhaps the greatest blessing we have is the hope of eternal life with our God who loves us with all of His heart!

After reading Paul’s words in Ephesians, I changed my prayers for the lost souls from “please save _______” to asking the Lord to open their eyes and hearts to receive the Gospel.

Embrace the gift of the loving Father who gave us His Spirit to correct and prevent us from harm in our spiritual blind spots.

When we begin to see people as Jesus sees them and care more about the person than our pride, we show the power of Christ.

Self-discipline can be defined as putting into practice gentleness and patience. It’s applying biblical wisdom to our lives. It’s allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us.

Following God is trusting him to bring us from where we are now to where he wants us to be.

Help me turn to you and see you for who you are: a promise-making, promise-keeping, awesome, loving, and kind God who cares for my anxieties. Fill me with your peace as I trust in you.

When we surrender to His molding and shaping, we can’t help but change from the inside out.

How can we love the sinner in our midst? We start with humbly remembering the grace we received from God for our own transgressions.

Divine appointments often come disguised as inconveniences, chance encounters, or sudden changes in plans. When we are attuned to God’s leading, we can discern his hands at work in these situations.

In a world characterized by impatience and the relentless pursuit of immediate gratification, God calls us to embrace the beauty of his timing.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of despair or suicide, know that God’s love reaches into the darkest places.

Reading, studying, and applying God’s word to our daily lives increases our faith.

God covets the role of bringing justice. When it’s all said and done only God has the power to judge the hearts of men. We can surrender our right to judge because we know only one is wise enough to do that job for humanity.

God alone can be trusted completely to give you words of life (Hebrews 4:12).

When we give our lives to Christ and accept His free gift of salvation, our futures are secure in Him.

God is raining down a special wave of his saving power. Righteous men and women standing on truth, even as the world around them is preaching chaos.

Jesus saves people one way, but He heals people in various ways.

We don’t need to know what’s up ahead in our journey to take our next step forward. We can keep moving by allowing God’s Word to illuminate the step right where our feet already are.

Likewise, sometimes God will allow hard things to happen to us because we need to be corrected or redirected back onto His path for us. This doesn’t always feel good, but it is always the best thing for us!
