The Word of God

The Holy Bible is God's Word and is without error in its original written form.  God gave His Word to men so humanity can know Him, His plan for us, and how we can have a relationship with Him.

The Triune Nature of God

There is only one true God who is the eternal, almighty, perfect being existing as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

• The Father - God the Father is an eternal, infinite, personal spirit being.  He is the Creator of all that is not Him.

• The Son - Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity.  He is the prophesied Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.  He lived a sinless life, He died on a cross as the sacrifice for the sin of all mankind.  He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven.  It is because of His work, and only through Him, that mankind can have a relationship with God the Father and have eternal life with Him.

• The Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity.  All who are spiritually saved have the Holy Spirit living within them. The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin and draws them to Jesus Christ.  He convicts, guides, teaches and comforts all Christians as they listen and submit to Him, empowering them to live and serve God.

The first man, Adam, sinned against God.  As a result, sin and death spread to all of humanity through Adam.  Therefore, all people are born in sin and do sin.  Because of sin, all are condemned to eternal separation from God unless saved by unmerited grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Our Teaching Method

Teaching the Bible verse by verse is the main sermon approach used at TLC3 the Living Church.  We believe the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are inspired by God and are the supreme and final authority of our faith.  The interpretative "lens" of the New Testament revelation governs interpretation and application of all scripture taught at TLC3.
