Freedom Life Church

Our Vision: Freedom Life Church is a church where you are free to know, free to grow, and free to sow! Free To Know God just as you are – “…then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) This is expressed through our commitments to corporate and personal worship and community building and outreach events. Free to Grow in your relationship with Him at your own pace – “…and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18) This is expressed through our commitment to believer’s services, small groups and spiritual formation. Free to Sow into His kingdom by expressing your gifts and passions – “You are my brothers were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.” (Galatians 5:13) This is expressed through our commitment to offering multiple opportunities for ministry involvement. Our Mission: Our approach is Multi-cultural, Multi-generational, and Multi-campus. About Us: Freedom Life Church was started by Pastor Freddy Villarreal on Oct. 4th 2004 in Hampton Va with 27 people. We have seen tremendous growth over the years. The Leadership of Freedom Life had always felt led to be a multi-campus church but we had thought locally. God has some different in mind. God was thinking Nationally. In June of 2012 God gave Pastor Freddy Villarreal several dreams back to back about planting a campus here in San Antonio. He brought information to our annual leadership retreat that June and we spent some time researching and praying about this move. What we discovered was San Antonio and Hampton VA were very similar, just San Antonio is ten times bigger. The biggest connection being the military! At our Hampton Campus one of the fastest growing demographics is young military families. We also saw that everyone who landed at Langley got started here at Lackland. As we continued to pray about the future of Freedom Life Church we began to see the plan of God more clearly. We believe in the future we will be planting other campuses in strategic military cities. Once the leadership team agreed that this was the next step for Freedom Life we then begin to pray for someone to lead it. It would be at the same leadership retreat that God would confirm in my heart as well as the leadership team that my family and I would lead the charge! I came to serve at Freedom Life Church in Hampton about 8 months into the plant. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of something so incredible! We moved down here to San Antonio in March of 2013 and fell in love with the city! We began with a hand full of people and God has blessed it. This past January we had our public launch and have been running full steam since. We have seen Marriages restored, we have seen physical healings take place, we have seen harden hearts melted by the grace of God!
