We are a new Church Plant – now into our third month of worship. We presently have five baptismal candidates; a Church facility that we have full access to and approximately 12 ministry efforts that are active. We hold our Exercise Ministry and Bible Study on Wednesdays. Professional Family Counseling takes place on Thursday evenings.
MINISTRY PURPOSE: To Biblically empower every member to strive to become a stellar citizen of the Kingdom of God, to be reflected within their Home, Church, Work, Government and Institutions of Learning – the very composition of the Kingdom of God. (Mark 1:15)
MISSION STATEMENT: To equip the saints for the work of ministry, attracting, serving and advancing God’s Kingdom to and through the New Believer, the Regular Church Attender and those that would be Teachers and Leaders of others in the spread of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, throughout our community and beyond. (Eph. 4:11-12)
DEMOGRAPHIC COMPOSITION: Approximately 25 families – which includes a variety of ages, social compositions and ethnicities. Core group of 15 mature adults, several of which are celebrating their golden years of Christian service.
- Together, our core members have approximately “300+” years of Church experience, which includes one retired United Methodist Pastor, several former and retired military veterans and five people with extensive Church lay leadership experience.
WORSHIP STYLE: Word based – a teaching ministry, praise and worship and the inclusion of all age groups participating in worship. Uniformed Youth Acolytes compliment our efforts towards are pre-teens. Our Teenagers are presently going through an eight week “Teenager Teacher’s Academy” which prepares our youth to teach our children during weekly Christian Education venues.
DESIRED COMMUNITY SERVICE: Monthly outreach programs designed to serve community families of all ages – missions efforts, recreation, workshops, family/fun activities, children/youth events and family counseling services.
GOVERNANCE: Holy Spirit/Word of God inspired, Leadership directed, membership consensus – type of decision making.

SPONSORING OTHERS: Pastor Brown serves as the Pastoral Facilitator at the St. Philip’s College Campus Ministry Bible Study for Students and Faculty. Brown is currently planting a new Campus Ministry through Minister Len Arroro at St. Philip’s “Southwest” College Campus. Brown is also involved with assisting Pastors and para-Church ministries in the Southern Maryland region, his home state.
