Matthew 25:34-36 Our vision is to build a strong community of faith in the San Antonio Metropolitan area to the glory of God. We recognize that there are concentric circles of community. The first is the family, second is the church, and finally the community at large. Our members strive to establish communities of faith in their homes with personal study and prayer. We build up the church to worship God and equip our members for ministry. We serve the community through ministry that all might know the love of God, the power of His presence, and the blessing of being called out of the darkness and into the light. Welcome to Faith Community Baptist Church where we are building a faith community for Christ. Our prayer is that you or someone you know will benefit from this new ministry in Northwest San Antonio. The goal of Faith Community is to be a place where people from every ethnic group can unite with a common faith in God. Where together, as a community we can achieve more than as individuals. Jesus gave us His Great Commission - a true roadmap to living in God's will and having a victorious life as a community of believers. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20 We celebrate the mandate to "GO" of this great commission. The church is at its best when it is out in the community making a difference in the lives of those who are facing the many challenges of daily living. We are striving to be a church that makes a difference. We answer the call to discipleship. A true disciple makes a lifelong commitment to learning and serving God. Our goal is to live the life of the biblical Jesus, establishing the present kingdom of God. We demonstrate our new birth in Baptism. Jesus led by example, and declared Himself dedicated to the Father's purpose. We likewise immerse ourselves into the body of believers that we may walk in His grace. We are committed to teaching the scriptural truths of both the Old and New Testaments. We believe that every member should be trained to study and apply the word of God in meaningful and practical ways to enhance daily living. Our goal is to be obedient to the will of God. We seek to be good servants to God, our families, church, and community. We invite others to discover the salvation of God, found only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to glorify God in adding to His kingdom both in the present age and throughout eternity. Join us at our 11:00 am Sunday Worship Service, or at our Thursday 6:30pm Bible Study. Reverend Donald A. Page is the founding Pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church. The vision for 'Faith Community' grew out of over 20 years of teaching, preaching, and pursuing the blessings of God through service to the San Antonio Community.
