We have dedicated disciples of Jesus in the context of our everyday life. We long to see city-wide transformation spiritually, socially, and culturally through the gospel of Jesus.
Town East Baptist Church is a 61-year-old church located in San Antonio, Texas. It was founded in 1959 by Dr. Joe & Doris West, and he pastored it until 1990 at which time he retired to travel and promote missions. The church then called his son Larry West, who had been serving as the church's youth director to become the pastor of the church. Pastor Larry & his wife, Donna, served as our lead pastor until 2017 when Pastor Larry went home to be with the Lord. Our third pastor came on in February of 2019 after a two-year search. Dr. Russell & Christy Riggs came from the Orlando Baptist Temple in Orlando, Florida to take on the call to be our Senior Pastor making him only the 3rd man to hold this office in our church's 61-year history!
We are a non-conventional, independent Baptist church with a heart for evangelism to the San Antonio area and a heart for worldwide missions. Our preaching is dynamic, and we sing a blend of classic hymns and soul-stirring praise songs from the modern era. We are a multi-cultural church family and you will find just about every culture represented in our church body. We are a church that stands on the doctrines of our faith and yet we have stayed current and balanced in our stances and spirit. You will find a blend of traditionalism and modern methodology at Town East. We have an age demographic that is very balanced with young all the way to the senior saint and everything in between. We work a lot with young people with an active children's program, teen program, singles department, adult activities, and our Young at Heart Senior Saint program. We also are the home to Town East Christian School - a K4-12th grade Christian School. There is something for everyone!

Trinity Baptist Church has been described as a ‘lighthouse on a hill’ for at least two reasons: we are located on a hill in a residential area that overlooks downtown and our trademark tall white steeple is brightly lit and observable for quite a distance in all directions. We have three campuses within several blocks of each other: each unique in appearance and function, but joined together with spiritual purpose and direction. No matter one’s background, ethnicity, marital status, education, wealth, or age; Trinity is a place for all kinds of people!
