Author Spotlight: Rhonda Stoppe on God's Calling on Her Life
By Rhonda Stoppe, Crosswalk.com
It's our pleasure to spotlight one of our long-time Crosswalk contributors, Rhonda Stoppe. As an author and speaker, Rhonda has dedicated her life to God's calling to share His love and the gospel with others. She is a pastor’s wife, marriage mentor, mother of four, and grandmother of 13. Based on her life experience, she has written multiple books, including Moms Raising Sons to Be Men, If My Husband Would Change I’d be Happy-and Other Myths Wives Believe, Real Life Romance - Inspiring Stories to Help You Believe in True Love, A Christian Woman's Guide to Great Sex in Marriage, and The Marriage Mentor: Becoming the Couple You Long to Be. You can listen to Rhonda talk about the process of writing The Marriage Mentor with her husband of 41 years, Steve, here.
Rhonda says she felt God's call on her life from a young age: "I was a little girl, and God put a call on my heart to follow Jesus. I remember having a nudge to be a missionary, and I was like, I don't know what that looks like, but I'm gonna say yes, but I'm scared to death. I had no idea what God was calling me to, and the life that He's called me to is so divinely orchestrated for who I am."
If you are in need of encouragement for your role as a parent, spouse, grandparent, or just as a child of God trying to live out His call on your life, we hope you check out Rhonda's articles and are reminded of the Lord's love for you and His ability to do far more than you can imagine.
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Philippians 2:13 "For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure."
