Life Change Centers are committed to help people restore their lives from the abuse of drugs and alcohol. LCC is founded on the principle of helping individuals heal from issues and restore their lives and families.
Substance abuse has impacted our country, cities, roads and families with over 20.5 million people driving under the influence of alcohol and 11.8 million driving under the influence of illicit drugs (2016). According to CDC (www.cdc.gov statistics-2016) people between ages of 16 and 25 make up most of these numbers and are twice as likely to be involved in a deadly crush. Tragically so, innocent lives of adults as well as little children are lost daily to these accidents. This is just one of many ways the substance abuse has impacted our lives. In 2016 alone drug overdose death has climbed 19%. These numbers include our neighbors, friends, family members claiming thousands of innocent lives, destroying families, and leaving helpless children.
Life Change Centers is a private 501c3 non-profit organization providing a 9-12 months cost-free residential program for both men and women 18 years and older. Students are provided with a detox program, restoring process, and learning opportunities so they can reenter their community with the confidence and skills to start an honest, addiction-free life.
We strive to empower each student to restore their lives and encouraging them to serve others like they once have been served bringing hope in people’s lives. Reaching out to youth involved in gang violence, families broken apart, and adults enslaved by substance abuse, they impact hopeless people, neighborhoods, economy and future generation.
LCC has helped hundreds of students leave addictions behind while growing spiritually, academically and financially. The program currently consists of 22 centers worldwide and continues to grow.
LIFE CHANGE HISTORY
History of Life Change Center started in 2004 by Pastor Peter Nakhaychuk
Peter Nakhaychuk was an ordinary Christian man that sang in church choir on Sunday mornings. However, in 2004 Peter received a revelation from God urging him to help those who are broken through violence and substance abuse. Being discouraged by the increasing loss of young lives and seeing the hardship families of his dear friends and fellow believers had seeking help for their children and grandchildren. Peter then quit his job and dedicated his life to this ministry. Although this ministry originally was started for the Slavic community, soon it attracted people from different nationalities and became international. This new work was called “Life Change.”
The first Christ-based rehabilitation center for men opened in Boring, Oregon in July of 2005. Since then, byLord's grace hundreds of students have left addictions behind and let God transform their lives and lead them into ministry, giving them families an opportunity to grow spiritually, academically and financially. Life Change program is still helping people change their lives today! As of today, we have 22 centers opened in the US and worldwide ministering not just to men but to women as well.
The Life Change Centers offer 9-12 month residential program for men and women. Our students are provided not just with a detox program and restoring process but with this new program, they are given the unique opportunity to re-enter their community life fully restored and equipped with skills in order to begin lasting drug-free life.
